Klaudia Spivey, CMKBD, IIDA
Design Times president Klaudia Spivey recognizes the importance of education—and has had her fair share of it. An interior designer by degree, Klaudia’s continuing education with the National Kitchen And Bath Association
(NKBA) has gone beyond the basics, recently focusing on more advanced kitchen art and kitchen master classes.
The national award-winning designer received her Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer
(CMKBD) accreditation in 2001, reflecting her commitment to education, involvement in the industry, and imaginative design. The CMKBD certification requires a minimum of 10 years kitchen and bath experience, the completion of at least 100 hours of NKBA professional development programming, and a recognition of design excellence by a third party.
Klaudia has done that and more. A teacher of interior design at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado, Klaudia shares her expertise with others. She has lectured on kitchens and bathrooms, juried Parade of Homes, won several national kitchen and bath design awards, authored a design column for Rocky Mountain News, and held several positions for various NKBA committees.
